  1. S)can: The "S" command reviews the messages.  Scan displays, on a single
  2. line for each message, the message number, the date the message was
  3. created, who it is too, who it is from, and the topic of the message.  You
  4. can specify criteria for what messages to scan.  The most common useful
  5. options are:

  7.   S (or *) =  forward from where you last read
  8.   M        =  your mail specifically addressed to you
  9.   xxxx-    =  backward from message number xxxx
  10.   xxxx+    =  forward from message number xxxx
  11.   <text>   =  only messages with <text> in the subject/to/from fields

  15. 1. You can rapidly identify the messages you would like to read with the
  16. S)can and P)ersonal mail commands.

  18. 2. To see only a list of the message numbers and topics, use the T)opic
  19. scan command.
